Recently, my unsucessful attempt to find information about a few of the photographers who lived and worked in Evansville Indiana was a dissapointment. It was found that many have been forgotten. This is a project to renew our knowledge of them and keep their work alive.

The mission is to gather historic information about any photographer who worked in the Evansville area, and additionally:

To present their portrait and at least one example of their work.
To maintain a web presence that showcases their information
T o insure that they and their work is not lost.

Evansville is a small town in southern Indiana that birthed many great photographers. You will find some whose whole career was spent in southern Indiana while other careers began in our town and migrated to distant markets.

My compliments to all those persons from my home town who took up a camera and made their photographs. It is certain that not all will be included simply due to their names and history having already been lost. I am sorry for that.

To gather historic information about any photographer who worked in the Evansville area. Then to acquire and present their portrait and at least one example of their work. To create a web site that showcases their information to insure that they and their work is not lost.

If there is a photographer that should be included, or to add or make corrections please contact me.
