In May of 1968 Robert F. Kennedy campaigned in Evansville for President and I was invited, along with reporter Bob Flynn, to an early morning interview and photo shoot in his hotel room. He spent most of the time sitting on the edge of a bed with his dog, Freckles. Less than a month later RFK was assassinated in Los Angeles. To this day one of those portraits of a national hero is still one of my favorite pictures.
