Originally from Indianapolis, he was an art prodigy in
high school with several state awards to his credit. was a photo stringer
at the Indianapolis Star... and worked full time for a short period before
coming to Evansville. He was a good person, a good friend and a good photographer... that's enough for me. From Randy Dieter |
You know I first met Singer in 1973 and never really worked on the same staff at the same time. However, I do recall our first meeting and how he embraced my desire for knowledge. To say he was inspirational would be and understatement. It was 2-3 years ago that Dieter and SInger visited with me in Cincinnati at the Enquirer offices. Randy S. was amazed at the technology and other bells and whistles. While looking at my photos of a recent project he smiled at Dieter and said, "Looks like we did right with this guy." Indeed, Randy S. did right with nearly everyone he met. That is impressive. Thanks to a great photographer and a greater person. God Speed!!!!! From Michael Keating |
